    PARENT TEACHER ASSOCIATION (PTFA)

We are a small, friendly group of parents, staff members and friends of the school who organise social events to help raise crucial funds that add enrichment to the lives and experiences of all our children.

Our main events held each year include the Spring and Christmas Coffee Mornings in Castle Cary, Lovington Festival and the May Fayre.

Apart from being fun events for both pupils and their families, the money we make helps to pay for individual class trips, equipment and resources, books and treats such as the Easter Egg Hunt, Christmas Lunch and a present from Father Christmas.

PTA meetings are held roughly once every six weeks in the evening. Everyone is welcome to attend any of our meetings, and you do not have to join the committee if you do not want to.  Any help and input you can give is always very much appreciated in benefiting the school and our children.

We’re always looking for volunteers for an hour (or two) to help at PTFA events.  Any time you might be able to spare would be much appreciated!

Current PTA committee members are :
Co-Chair – Justin Trott and Ed White
    Treasurer –  Ellie Hollingworth
    Secretary – Jenny Dycer

Executive Committee – James Hutchings, Demelza Hutchings, Naomi Bushrod, Rob Turner, Kate Turner, Heather Trott, Emma Marshall and Meg Small.

Why not join the PTA?  There are many different things you can do to help, and you know what they say, many hands make light work!

Contact: Ellie Hollingworth, PTA Treasurer or speak to our school office.

What will I be asked to do?  As much or as little as you want!

We need people who are free for regular meetings or simply to help on a one-off basis when we have an event.  Sometimes we need DIY building skills, sewing or craft talent, graphic design or accounting knowledge, cooking or artistic experience, or help setting up or manning stalls at our events.

All monies go towards a variety of vital resources or activities which makes Lovington School such fun.
