At Lovington C of E Primary School we strongly believe in, and promote, all children having the right to have their say and to be heard.
At the start of each school year, house captains are chosen to be key ambassadors of our school, to promote our school ethos, aims and behaviour policy, and to play an important role within the school community. Children have regular opportunities to share their views and make suggestions about different aspects of school life within class discussions, focused pupil voice meetings and during Collective Worship.
Our commitment to promoting children's voices is based upon the Union Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
House Captains and Vice Captains are representatives from Years 5 and 6; these are privileged roles for our young leaders, who are fantastic at supporting and encouraging other children.
Every child is in one of three houses:
Thring
Whitehead
Connock
We award house points for positive reasons, which could be for improved or outstanding achievement and effort in the classroom, or for demonstrating kind and thoughtful behaviour.
